Louis
Spiegel DMD
I
attended Hewlett High School and graduated in
1969. Pennsylvania State University is where
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in 1973.
After college I spent two years living and working
in California. Following in my father’s
footsteps I attended the University of Pennsylvania’s
School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 1979,
exactly fifty years later than my father who
graduated from the same school in 1929. After
completing a General Practice Residency Program
at St. Lukes Hospital in Manhattan I joined my
father in practice in Hewlett. My father was
an outstanding dentist and I had the good fortune
to join him in practice and work with him for
several years before his retirement. I practiced
in Hewlett for 20 years until I joined my wife,
Dr. Amy Schild in practice in Massapequa in November
of 2002.

Schild DMD
I
grew up in Bellerose and Rosedale, Queens and
graduated with honors from Springfield Gardens
High School in 1972. I then attended the State
University of New York at Stony Brook and graduated
in 1976 with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. My
interest in science led me to pursue my degree
in dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania’s
School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, graduating
in 1980. The Veterans Administration Hospital
in Newark, Delaware is where I had the good fortune
to receive my post graduate training in a General
Practice Residency program. I then returned to
New York, married my partner Dr. Spiegel, and
started my practice in Copiague, New York in
1982.
In July of 2001, after practicing for 19 years in Copiague, my husband
and I decided to practice together and build a new, state of the art
dental office in Massapequa.
Both Drs.
Schild and Spiegel are members in good standing of the Nassau
County Dental Society, the New York State Dental Association
and the American Dental Association. We enjoy keeping up to date
with current technology by attending frequent continuing education
courses.

Office
Manager
Massapequa native, Eileen Muir, graduated from Berner High School and
then SUNY Farmingdale School of Dental Hygiene. Eileen worked as a
hygiene clinic supervisor at Farmingdale in the late 1960s before taking
time off to raise her family. In 1980 Eileen returned to work as a
teaching assistant in the Amityville and Copiague school system and
then in 1987 took over as the administrative director of the Busy Bee
Nursery School in Amityville. In 1991 Eileen joined Dr. Schild's staff
in Copiague and has been working with Dr. Schild and Dr. Spiegel as
office manager since 1993. Eileen is a warm, caring and competent person.
Fun and easy to talk to.
